Topical (Adults) Mix 1 to 2 drops in 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) of vegetable oil; apply to the affected area 3 times a day.

Inhalation (Respiratory syst.) Add 4-12 drops to a bowl of steaming hot water or a diffuser. Inhale slowly for 5-10 minutes.

The essential oil is distilled from the leaves of the Pimenta racemosa, a small tree that grows in the humid regions of Central America and other tropical zones. Bay St-Thomas stimulates and strengthens the scalp and is particularly helpful when hair is thin or greasy. One can create a custom shampoo with just a few drops of the essential oil or by adding a few drops to an existing shampoo.
