Celebrated for its flowers, Fine Lavender from Provence is grown at an altitude of nearly 1000 meters on France’s sunny mountain slopes. This type of lavender is renown for the olfactory quality of its essential oil. The name « lavender » comes from the Latin “lavare” (“wash”) because Romans would use the plant to perfume their baths. Lavender floral water (lavender hydrosol) is known for its purifying and balancing properties. Oily and acne-prone skin can also benefit from the floral water. Calming, it is especially effective for treating irritated skin, sunburns, light burns, and bug bites. Refreshing, astringent, and rejuvenating, it can be applied to the face, body, and even hair. When used as an aromatic body mist, its gentle perfume has a warm and soothing effect.
